The forging process is a complex and elaborate process that involves multiple steps to ensure the quality and performance of the final product. Forging operation: The heated metal material is placed in a die and pressure is applied to deform it. This can be done by devices such as hammering or a hydraulic press.
Predetermined shape: After initial forging, further plastic deformation of the forging may be required to obtain the final desired shape. This can be achieved by multiple passes of forging or continued application of pressure.
Finishing and reshaping: After the forging has reached the design shape, finishing and reshaping operations are performed, including cutting off excess material, trimming edges and surfaces, and performing necessary heat treatment or cooling processes.
Post-processing: Forgings may require further processing and treatment, such as heat treatment, surface treatment (such as plating, grinding or polishing), and machining, as required.
Through these steps, forgings with high strength, wear resistance and dimensional accuracy can be obtained. Each step needs to be strictly controlled to ensure that the quality and performance of the final product meet the requirements.
